PARENT: Short-Term Suspension
< Back
Only the principal, or someone with the principal’s permission, can suspend your child for 10 school days or less. The principal, or person who suspended your child, must meet with them and tell them why they were suspended.
If your child is sent home, a note or letter should be sent with them to explain why they were sent home and when they can return. If your child does not get a letter, you should ask for one.
Make sure that you or your child asks for any homework they might miss
The superintendent can shorten or overturn a short-term suspension.
