STUDENT: Short-Term Suspension

< Back

Only the principal, or someone with the  principal’s permission, can suspend you for 10 school days or less. The principal, or person who suspended you, must meet with you and tell you why you were suspended.

If you are sent home, a note or letter should be sent with you to explain why you were sent home and when you can return. If you do not get a letter, you should ask for one.

Make sure that you ask for any homework you might miss.

The superintendent can shorten or overturn a short-term suspension.
